NetLab: Networked Development and Testing Laboratory
Developing a decentralised test and development system for complex technological systems
The project seeks to generate a system solution for digitalisation and site-independent use of test systems and implement it as a prototype. The aim is to link in real time system simulation and test management, as well as test vehicles and test facilities, primarily via the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT), based on the case of the electric drive train. The emphasis lies on the IT infrastructure needed to implement a secure and real time-capable linking of the test facilities.
This puts enterprises into the position to cooperatively create entire development chains and to put site independent development and test services on the market. The technology demonstrator for the decentralised test and diagnostics laboratory is being developed for electric vehicle drive trains and NetLab will contribute to create viable solutions for electromobility.
What makes this project especial?
For the first time, highly specialised SMEs will have the capability to cooperatively present system expertise, which up until now was only covered by OEM.
